Teaching abroad

EU-Program Erasmus+

The EU's Erasmus+ program focuses on promoting learning mobility and transnational cooperation. In higher education, Erasmus+ promotes the sustainable development of higher education in partner countries and, in particular, mobility for teaching, training and further education purposes for university staff.

Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training (STA & STT)

Erasmus+ provides teaching opportunities for the teaching staff of higher education institutions and staff invited from enterprises. Training opportunities are also available for teaching and non-teaching staff employed in a higher education institution.

Mobility for Teaching Staff (STA)

In the case of teaching assignments between higher education institutions in Programme Countries, both institutions have to be holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and must have signed an inter-institutional agreement. The partner higher education institution/enterprise must have agreed on the programme of activities to be undertaken by the visiting teachers (Mobility Agreement) prior to the start of the mobility period. In all cases, the activities of staff undertaking a teaching assignment should be integrated into the curriculum of the receiving institution.

TU Darmstadt offers a wide range of possible exchange places. If you feel like becoming a guest lecturer at a European university, you will find all necessary information to realise your dream here.

Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

Staff members are selected by the sending higher education institution. Examples of staff mobility for training are: general and technical management, library, public relations, international office, information technology, etc. The sending institution and the receiving institution/enterprise must have agreed on the programme of the activities to be undertaken by the visiting staff member (Mobility Agreement) prior to the start of the mobility period. You will find further information here.

Employees of TU Darmstadt are welcome to improve their individual linguistic, professional and social competences with a short stay at a European partner university or in a company abroad.
