Prof. Knodt part of the Future Alliance for Social Cohesion led by Hessian Economic and Housing Minister Kaweh Mansoori and Social Minister Heike Hofmann

Excited to announce my involvement in the new Future Alliance for Social Cohesion in Hesse! This important initiative, led by Hessian Economic and Housing Minister Kaweh Mansoori and Social Minister Heike Hofmann, aims to strengthen social cohesion in our communities and develop innovative solutions to social challenges.

I particularly appreciate the excellent inter-ministerial cooperation in this initiative, something, which is unfortunately all too rare.

The alliance will build on the „Social Cohesion“ urban development program and significantly influence social neighborhood development. Essential components like recreational areas, community centers, schools, and a balanced population mix as well as innovative participation processes will be discussed in order to create a welcoming environment for all residents.

I'm confident that our collaboration will strengthen the social fabric of our neighbourhoods.

Together with my colleague Annette Rudolph-Cleff, we will contribute our research outcomes from Technische Universität Darmstadt on participatory processes.
